Culture producer Megatronic debuts on The Remedy Project with ‘Black Joy’, a diasporic dance single featuring spoken-word artist Dylema. As an electronic artist, Megatronic aims to invoke social discussion on diversity and female empowerment while celebrating African and Middle Eastern culture. This is achieved through her creative compositions, live performances, and monthly show, Global Music Movement, which spotlights like-minded artists. For their latest release on Melvo Baptiste’s imprint, ‘Black Joy’, Megatronic is joined by Dylema, the lead singer and founder of jazz-poetry group The Dylema Collective; her rhythmically pointed delivery and thought-provoking lyrics combine with the Afro-rhythmic production techniques, painting a picture of Africa in jubilation. Adding some sauce to ‘Black Joy’ is Sydney-based producer Edseven, whose broad influences encompass future soul, hip-hop, and cosmic Afro bruk.
